Our very own BleuBelle Bride's wedding on Style Me Pretty!

In honor of Wedding Wednesday (our first WW post on our new blog!), we simply have to share that one of our very own BleuBelle stylists, Samantha, and her stunning Savannah wedding to her long time love, Bobby, were featured on our favorite wedding blog, Style Me Pretty!

Samantha got engaged just a couple of months into her new career as a buyer and stylist for BleuBelle, and we had the best time helping her pull together her dream wedding, along with help from some of the best wedding vendors in Savannah! One amazing vendor went above and beyond, and had her hand in literally every aspect of the wedding – the incredibly talented (and incredible person) Kelli Boyd. Samantha and Bobby’s wedding was absolutely perfect, and we aren’t the least bit surprised that Style Me Pretty chose to feature Kelli’s gorgeous images of their big day.

Here’s the scoop on all of her details:

We all thought Sam would wind up in a mermaid lace gown, but when she tried them, the silhouette and fabric just didn’t suit her! We tried gown after gown, and finally during an Alyne by Rivini Trunk Show, we found it!! Sam came out in this gorgeous confection of silk satin faced organza: a sweetheart, corseted bodice cinched in at her tiny true waist with a beaded belt (from Blossom), and a long flowing train that was perfect for her walk down the aisle in Forsyth Park.  The best part? The name of the gown is literally “Samantha!” We just about died when we realized it, and we KNEW we had found Sam the perfect gown.

We were all BLOWN AWAY by the gorgeous blooms from A to Zinnia’s.  Seriously, I’ve been to tons of weddings and worked with every florist in Savannah, and I have to say these are my favorite wedding flowers I have ever seen.  They perfectly suited Samantha’s coveted color palette of blush and soft grey (don’t you love Dusty Miller?).

Minette Rushing of Custom Cakes has done it again with this classic ruffle tiered cake with four different delicious flavor layers (the red velvet was a huge hit!).

Courtney and I (almost 8 months preggers!) got to fulfill our secret dreams of being a hairstylist and makeup artist, as we tag teamed to create Sam’s classic yet modern beauty look with the soft curls that are Sam’s signature, along with soft, natural makeup paired with a neutral smoky eye and flushed coral cheeks. Some key products we used are Mac foundation and concealer (applied with The Beauty Blender from Glow MedSpa, of course!), Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Lighting powder to set it all day, Mac Cream Blush set with NARS Torrid and theBalm Hot Mama blushes, theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer as a highlighter, false lashes touched up with Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara, and Sam’s favorite Mac Lipglass over NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream.

Samantha and Bobby found their perfect officiant match in Reverend Steve Schulte, and their ceremony was simply one of the most touching I’ve ever witnessed. Bobby was deployed for most of the engagement, and came back to his future bride just weeks before the wedding. Their hand-written vows were so, so special and touching, and even Reverend Schulte said it’s the only time EVER (in thousands of weddings) that he actually teared up. Of course, the BleuBelle girls were all in the second row together crying our eyes out to see one of our very own marry her dream (and dreamy!) man in his dress blues.

Brides, look no further for your all-inclusive wedding reception locale: Vic’s on the River.  Their reception could not have been more fun, and Vic’s handled everything from the beautiful centerpieces, delicious bites, in-house chiavari chairs (a MUST), and even a signature drink. It was also the perfect spot for lots of Sam’s clever ideas, including a wooden monogram that was her guest book and chalkboards with the seating chart and social media info. It’s no wonder Sam’s favorite detail was the fabulous music from All About You Entertainment – they are the best DJ’s in town! Her idea to have her guests request songs on the RSVP cards was brilliant.

We always say that photography should the MOST important priority for your wedding – even over the dress! We are lucky that Savannah has lots of talented photographers, but I have to say that Kelli Boyd stands apart from the rest for her unmatched personalized commitment to her brides and every aspect of their day.  Not only is she so much fun to be around (makes getting these natural, intimate photos so much easier), but she simply takes care of her brides more than any other wedding vendor that we’ve worked with.  What more could you ask for when the big day is over – STUNNING images that perfectly capture your vision AND a new friend that will no doubt photograph all of your future memories (babies, dogs, parties, you name it).

A few other vendors that we simply can’t not include for their amazing work on Sam and Bobby’s dream Savannah Wedding: The Mansion on Forsyth Park (where the bride and groom got ready and spent their first night), Sam’s family friend, Holly Shump of Elan Event Studio (for coordination and planning of the big day), Low Country Calligraphy (for lots of hand-lettered details), Amsale (for her gorgeous maids dresses), Vera Wang (her fabulous shoes), totallypromotional.com (for the coozies that were such a hit).

We hope you enjoyed Sam’s wedding as much as we did!
