At Home with Mama Lis : Happy Halloween!

Halloween is a time for trick-or-treating, costume parties, full bellies, haunted houses, corn mazes, bobbing for apples, pulling pranks, and scary stories. I have so much fun with this holiday because to me, it’s all about the children. That being said here are some last minute (child-friendly) tips for making this night frightfully fun!

  • Use glow sticks instead of luminaries for a safe but spooky atmosphere.
  • Dry ice makes the perfect fog. Bats and sheet ghost hanging from trees add just the right touch. Jack-O-Lanterns are very festive and an absolute must!
  • Try to have a variety of candy, whether it’s in a “goody bag” or if you just pass it out by the handfuls– I even enjoy throwing in spider rings and glow stick bracelets — just to give an extra surprise.
  • Most importantly — HAVE FUN and BE SAFE!

We hope you, your family, and friends enjoy this spooktacular holiday!
